New Zealand triathlete Debbie Tanner has shown some strong pre-Olympic form with a podium finish at the Hamburg round of the ITU World Cup.
Tanner has finished third behind Ricarda Lisk of Germany and Australian Felicity Abram.

Exiting the water after her best swim of the year, Tanner and a group of 10 other riders developed a strong lead on the bike leg over the rest of the pack.
Third off the bike, Tanner maintained her position on the run, to finish less than a minute behind the leader, Ricarda Lisk of Germany.
Vanessa Fernandes of Portugal pulled out during in the run and failed to finish the event which will put her status as Olympic gold medal favourite in question.
